Tips for Muslims to Overcome Hardships

  • Hardships are a test

It was the best test to know what kind of person you are. Whether you’re a very patient person or not. It’s a test of your patience because some of them might end up give up on something so easily and became very angry to Allah. Curse and talking nonsense after receive some so-called-burden-but-actually-not. So this, shown which level you are. Not to forget, Allah loves those who are calm and never give up of themselves.

  •           They come from Him

Anything come from him are precious and reasonable. He give something not to burden humans but for people to learn from the hardships. People should appreciate and keep on believes that everything come from him are tickets towards the truth, called Jannah where many patient and kind people will stay during akhirat.

  • -          Turn to Him

The center of everything, whether ease or hardships is Allah. Therefore, every time we thought of problems, hardship or maybe any time, we can turn to him and recall every thicks by many ways especially through salaah and dua

  • -          Remain hopeful

  • -          Examine Your Ways

  • -          Pray
Pray is where you can communicate more closer and feel so calm and relief from your troubles. You can tell all your stories without limit and release everything inside. Also, where Allah gives us more reward and love for those who did it perfectly according to His orders and unstoppably doing it in daily life.

Pray/Salaah

The Importance of Praying

Praying is very important to all muslim from all around the world. This is because, pray is one of Allah’s order which stated in the second rukun of Rukun Islam. Other than that, by praying, we can connect to Allah easily and closely. Moreover, by praying, we can also show how much we appreciate what’s given and gifted by Allah for us in this world. So, we were supposed to pray all day and all night without even missing one of them or maybe adding more additional ibadah to gain pahala yet to reply all given by Him by following His order well.

Next, did you still remember the story of Isra’ and Mikraj? About our prophet Nabi Muhammad SAW who had hardworking on lessing our prayer time. The time where Nabi Muhammad SAW had seen many types of stories and through so many kind of people. You see, based on the story, you can see how caring our prophet is and the sacrifices that made us easier these days. He had covered his shameness and had used all of his energies just to beg about it infront of Allah on the seventh sky. If we can see, through all this thick, can we see how much Nabi really want us to pray? To follow Allah’s order. So, why don’t we sacrifice more than he did to pay all the valuable and uncountable hardworks? So let’s keep on praying and do more additional prayer so he can be happy to have a muslims like us still exist in this small world.

Adverse Effects If We Forgot to Pray

Written below are one of a story about a man that doesn’t perform even a single prayer ever in his life:

A child came to Rasulullah SAW while crying. The story really touched Rasulullah SAW that busy sitting with his friends.

“Why are you crying, dear child? Asked Rasulullah. “My father just dead but nobody came to visit even a single person. I don’t have any shroud, who’s gonna entomb him and who’s gonna handle his bath?” asked the child.

Without a moment of hesitation, Rasulullah command Abu Bakar and Umar to look in the corpse. Abu Bakar and Umar was very shocked after seeing the corpse changed into a wild boar. Later, both friends hurriedly told Rasulullah SAW about the incident happened.

Ergo, Rasulullah SAW came to the child’s house all by himself. He prayed to Allah until the wild boar became a human back. Then, Nabi Muhammad SAW did the pray for the corpse and ask his friends to entomb it. How strangely to the friends, during they were entombing the corpse, it turns to a wild boar back.Based on the situation, Rasullulah ask the child about what had his father done in his whole life.

“My father never perform his prayer for the whole life,” answered the child. Later, Rasulullah decreed to his friends, “Oh my friends, look by yourself. This is what will happen if you leave any prayers in your whole life. It will turns into a wild boar during kiamat”

Moreover, we can’t even left any single of salat time. This is because every each of those salaah time can cause you different bad effects. These are some of reflections for all the sins:

SubuhAllah will throw is into the deepest hell for 60 years
ZohorThe sins are the same like the sins we get when we killed thousands of muslims
AsarThe sins are the same like broke down Kaabah
MaghribThe sins are the same like fornicate your own parents
Isya’Allah will never please you live in this world and all the gifts that He gave. Simile to a sinner infront of Allah’s eyes.
In conclusion, we should always keep our prayers sharp and make it consequently done every single day and always on time. To avoid any bad effects and getting a small or even big sins, always did it on purpose and make sure to do it sincerely. Remember to always focus during prayer and put all your heart during perform it ergo to receive 100% of the reward.

Zakat in Islam!

Zakat is the third pillar of islam. It’s literally means “to increase”. Technically it means to purify one’s possession of wealth by distributing a prescribed amount which has to be given to the poor as a fundamental Ibaadat.
Zakat
Zakat in Quran:

Zakat has been mentioned seventy times in Quran. Allah says in Quran:

“The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn. It grows seven ears and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah increases manifold to whom He pleases.” (Baqarah 261)
In Quran:
“…..and establish regular Salaat and give regular Zakat…..”
From the above verses of Quran we can conclude that after salaat, zakat is the most vital act in islam.

Types of Wealth on which zakat is compulsory:
  • Gold & Silver (whether jewellery or any other form).
  • Merchandise for business.
  • Income derived from properties.
  • Value of property bought for resale.
  • Cash currency (on hand or in bank).
  • Monies owing to you (details to be sought from an Aalim).
  • Livestock (the Nisaab of livestock is different from above).
Types of Wealth on which zakat is not compulsory:
  • Home for living.
  • Household requirement e.g. furniture, car etc.
  • Personal requirements (not of gold and silver.)
  • Other precious metals or stones, such as diamonds which are for personal use.
  • Fixtures and fittings and other equipment required to run the business e.g. delivery trucks etc.
  • If liabilities exceed assets.
Nisaab:

The amount of wealth which makes one obligated for zakaat is called Nisaab. The Nisaab of gold and silver settled by Hazrat Muhammad(SAW) is as per the following:
  • Gold 87.48 Gram 7.50Tolas 1350Grains 2.8125Troy Oz.
  • Silver 612.36Gram 52.50Tolas 9450Grains and 19.6875 Troy Oz.
Nisaab of money, stock or bonds, other money resources is the proportionate measure of Gold or Silver. Nisaab is ascertained by including the money estimation of the considerable number of advantages, for example, gold, silver, coin and so on and in the event that it is equivalent TO or in abundance of the base Nisaab as determined in the above table, the Zakat is expected at the rate of 2.5%.

Recipient of Zakat:

The recipients of Zakat, according to Quran are as follows:

“Alms are for the poor and the needy, and those employed to administer (the funds); for those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to truth); for those in bondage and in debt; and for the wayfarer: (Thus is it) ordained by Allah, and Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.” (Quran 9:60)

Punishment of not giving Zakat:

In Quran Allah says:

“And there are those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah, announce to them a most grievous penalty (when) on the Day of Judgment heat will be produced out of that wealth in the fire of Hell. Then with it they will be branded on their forehead and their flanks and backs. (It will be said to them) This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves, taste then the treasure that you have been hoarding.” (Al-Quran 9:34-35)

Cleanliness Is Half The Faith (Emaan)

Personality of a person is a whole sum up of a person’s attitude towards everything, how one talks, walks, eats and dresses etc. and no doubt the most over whelming part of personality is the looks you generate. A good and neat dress always imparts a positive impact on your viewer. That is why Islam has focused upon cleanliness very much. Cleanliness doesn’t means to wear a neat and clean dress. It includes clean body and cleanliness in thoughts also.
The Messenger of Allah (salAllahualaihiwasallam) said“Cleanliness is half the faith (Emaan).” [Sahih Muslim]

Point To Ponder:

For our emaan to be half complete is it enough to wear clean dress? And have a clean body?
NO….!!!it does include many other things.
In that hadith the actual word used in Arabic is “tahara” which means “purity.” And by purity or tahara, we are headed in two directions:
1)     Inner tahara
2)     Outer tahara.
Inner tahara can be achieved by upholding the five pillars of Islam, having clean and pure thinking process, avoiding sins, making a lot of dikar and especially making sure the heart is pure of spiritual maladies such as anger, hatred, relying on other than Allah, fear of loss of provision, antipathy toward death, wantonness, pride, arrogance, riya, etc
Outer tahara can be attained by proper bodily purification e.g. making wudu (ablution), taking bath, cleaning teath, using fragrance or perfumes, keeping house and clothes clean etc.
Cleanliness
As a perfect teacher holy prophet Mohammad (saw) practiced cleanliness himself too and ordered his companions to follow too. He kept his body and clothes clean, took bath on regular basis, liked use of perfume, liked to do miswaak, HE disliked use of smelly things like garlic etc .and appreciated neat and attractive appearance.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) states that, ‘The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came to visit us, and saw a man who was wearing dirty clothes. He said, ‘Could this person not find anything with which to wash his clothes”’
It doesn’t mean that one should wear very expensive dress to look good, but the concept is to be clean and not to be annoying for people around you. Messenger of ALLAH himself, hasworn highest quality fine clothing to the cheapest one, sometimes it had patches to mend the torn.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said that, ‘It is the duty of every Muslim to take a bath (at least) once every seven days, and to wash his head and body.’
“Have a bath on Fridays and wash your heads, even if you are not in a state of Junabah (impurity, e.g. following marital relations), and wear perfume.” (Al-Bukhari).
How much Islam emphasizes on cleanliness can be gleamed from the fact that not only we are supposed to keep our bodies, clothes clean and free from offensive smells; we are supposed to stay away from the Mosque if we consume (or use something) which gives out offensive smells.
Jabir b. ‘Abdullah (RA) reported the Apostle of Allah (SallahoAlaiheWassallam) saying: He who eats of this (offensive) plant, i.e. garlic, and sometimes he said: He who eats onion and garlic and leek, should not approach our mosque for the angels are harmed by the same things as the children of Adam. [Muslim]
cleanliness, tahara, purity, taking bath, take bath, cleaning home, dress, clean dress, clean body, perfume, cologne, scent, wudoo, wuzu, ablution, cleaning teeth, cleaniing teeth,
Narrated ‘Aisha (RA) I used to perfume the Prophet (SallahoAlaiheWassallam) before his assuming the state of with the best scent available. [Bukhari]
Here Muslim sisters should take here, by this order, it doesn’t means that sisters are allowed to use perfume or any fragrance in presence of non-mehram . There is a separate ruling for females about use of perfume or any kind of fragrance.

Get A Bonus:

All of the acts mentioned above are, what we do frequently in our routine life. We often clean our homes, brush our teeth daily, take bath, wash our clothes, wash dishes, use perfume. Do we realize that we are getting rewarded by Allah (subhanawata’ala) for it, if we are doing it because Allah (subhanawata’ala) told us to take care of cleanliness? No, because often we never think of doing these acts for sake of reward from ALLAH, we don’t do them for pleasure of ALLAH as we are obeying his commands.
So the very next time when you are clipping your nails, cleaning your home, taking bath, cleaning teeth, making wudoo, using cologne or scent, or any other act of cleanliness  make a conscious intention to clean up for Allah’s Pleasure and pray to Allah (subhanawata’ala) to reward you maximally for your efforts. This could be “two in one shot” , you are getting reward on a routine work.
